Mayim Bialik Wants Jeopardy, LeVar Burton Does Not

Since Alex Trebek's passing from pancreatic cancer in November 2020, Jeopardy has been trying to find a host. We call it, the curse of Alex Trebek.

The Jeopardy process has been messy, to say the least.
There were a slew of guest hosts, and many believed they would be taking over for Alex Trebek.

LeVar Burton Reading Rainbow Host

LeVar Burton was hands down a fan favorite, but for some reason, Jeopardy execs did not want to see LeVar Burton host Jeopardy.

When Jeopardy producers finally allowed Levar Burton to guest host, his show was competing against the Tokyo Olympics. News stories quickly called his hosting a failure due to low ratings. LeVar Burton fans know that he was set up to fail.

In the end, Mike Richards, an executive producer for Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, chose himself to be the new host. The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik as  guest host, playing a secondary role. Mike Richards quit after one filming, after xenophobic and sexist claims he made, resurfaced and was eventually fired

LeVar Burton No Longer Wants to be Jeopardy Host

Mike Richards firing reignited hopes that Reading Rainbow's LeVar Burton could be the host of Jeopardy but producers were silent. This week it was confirmed by Burton himself that he nom longer desires to be a Jeopardy host. After the treatment he received, we do not blame him.

Ken Jennings And Mayim Bialik Will Host Jeopardy

Ken Jennings one of the most successful Jeopardy contestants of all time, but he is not well-liked amongst the fan base. Ideally, a game show host should be well-liked. Mayim Bialik has had problems of her own, as the Neuroscience (PhD!!) wrote a book with stating she would wait to vaccinate her children and does not believe in giving all of the vaccines that are given because of the profits made, and other factors.
