I wanted to try some facial masks from affordable brands during my stay abroad and this one by Queen Helene caught my attention. The combination of avocado and grapefruit seemed tempting as I have never tried these ingredients. Avocado has great beauty benefits as it adds loads of vitamins into the skin. Grapefruit helps in giving brighter skin. Did this masque help me achieve any of this? Read on about Queen Helene Avocado and Grapefruit Masque to know.

My Experience with Queen Helene Avocado and Grapefruit Masque:
This masque comes in a pretty pink and green tube with a screw on cap. I think Queen Helene has revamped the packaging of some of its products, so definitely it looks all attractive and pretty now. The tube is lightweight and has all product details neatly written on it. It is completely travel safe.
The mask is greenish yellow in color which maybe attributed to the presence of avocado. The texture is like a lightweight mousse-clay. Yes, unlike clay, it doesn’t feel heavy, but has a thick whipped consistency. It has a mild fragrance which isn’t bothersome.
The first time I applied this masque, it scared the hell out of me. My skin was burning and tingling, and I expected to wash my face to be greeted with redness and bumps. Well, it didn’t happen. My skin looked bright definitely and oil-free too. No inflammation or redness. But I decided to check online reviews to probe what happened. Almost every other person had listed the burning sensation as a major concern. That kind of relieved me, that I wasn’t the only sufferer.
The next time I had the mask, the feeling persisted, maybe slightly lesser (or my skin could bear it better). On washing the mask, my skin looked really clear and bright. It removes dirt and cleans the skin well due to the presence of different clays. If you have uneven skin tone and texture, you might like how it helps clean pores and give a radiant skin. However, it makes my skin quite dry. Use of a moisturizer post this masque is necessary. I would ask people with dry skin to steer clear of this product. Normal to oily skin girls can use this and pat an oil-free lotion after use.
The ingredients list mentions loads of chemicals, so while it works and gives tangible results, I might not really keep using it plus the burning sensation just scares me.
Pros of Queen Helene Avocado and Grapefruit Masque:

Cons of Queen Helene Avocado and Grapefruit Masque:

- Loads of chemicals.
- Not easily available in India.
- Makes skin dry.
Would I Recommend/Repurchase Queen Helene Avocado and Grapefruit Masque?
Not really. You can get quite a few effective face products in the same price range, without the scary ingredient list.
