Sorry, Anne Hathaway – it’s gonna be Michelle Williams.

The Oscar- and Tony-nominated actress is circling the leading-lady part in The Greatest Showman on Earth, the new original musical that’s to star Hugh Jackman and, potentially, Zac Efron. (I presume Williams will be portraying Swedish Nightingale Jenny Lind.)

The Awesome Aussie is all set to produce and star in the project, as P.T. Barnum, the founder of the traveling Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

Academy Award-winning screenwriter Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine) reportedly is taking yet another stab at the script – you know, just to get it in tiptoe shape for Jackman & Co.
