My Experience with Dr Jart Shake and Shot Rubber Soothing Mask:
This face mask by Dr Jart is available in six different versions and each is meant to treat a different skincare concern: Hydro, Brightening, Firming, Soothing and so on. The packaging is absolutely unique, cute and appealing. It looks like a smoothie or a protein cup with a futuristic world appearance. The cap is moulded in the form of cute baby’s face that also appears on the packaging of rubber sheets from Dr. Jart. The baby’s face has what appears to be a straw coming out of its mouth. It is cute, appealing and practical.
How To Use Dr. Jart Shake and Shot Rubber Soothing Mask:
Open and remove the spatula from the lid, then combine both step 01 Super Booster and step 02 Liquid Ampoule in the cup. Then close the lid, cover the hole with your finger, and shake well until fully mixed. Shake till the splashing noise ceases. Using the spatula, apply an even layer over the entire face within two to three minutes of mixing (avoiding the eyes and mouth). It is recommended to leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and allow it to dry so that it attains a rubbery consistency and is easy to peel off. Starting from the edges, gently peel off the mask. Remove any excess with a damp cotton cloth or pad and then follow it with your skincare routine.
Once the two ingredients are well mixed, the mask appears like curdled milk but it is not drippy and applies well. The product claims that Dr. Jart uses the same “rubber mask” technique found in high-end Korean spas to achieve equivalent high-performance results—without the fuss of mixing a traditional modeling pack. The innovative cream-to-sheet formula penetrates skin more deeply than a sheet mask to deliver high-potency active ingredients. Each freshly-made mask penetrates skin surface to deliver the benefits your skin needs most quickly and effectively.
The soothing version is meant to soothe irritated skin. This mask is meant to calm and repair the complexion. The Soothing Mask ampoule contains Vitamin K3 (menadione) and a soothing botanical complex to calm irritated skin. This mask is meant to soothe sensitive skin or skin under stress due to environmental issues. Upon application, the rubbery glob did not appear like that it will dry out, let alone peel off, but after 20-30 minutes of drying time, the mask dries just enough to thicken a little and peels off.
I really enjoyed peeling of the mask, I felt like I was peeling my old skin to reveal new skin. This mask is potent and leaves my skin shiny and soft. I use it after my shower session and after application of toners and serums. I did not expect this mask to show instant results, but it did add shine and suppleness to my skin. I then layered my skin with moisturizer and a sunscreen and proceeded with makeup application. I loved the overall performance of this mask and how it added an instant glow to my face.
