“New Year’s Day Is Every Man’s Birthday” -Charles Lamb

The arrival of a new year is something all look forward to. The last day of the Gregorian calendar is celebrated as the New Year’s Eve, which is the 31st of December. It is a time for merriment, worldwide. It has become almost like a ritual to promise to forgive and forget the gloom of the spent year and welcome the new one with fresh enthusiasm, resolutions and attunement. And everyone grows a year older!

“Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.”
― Oprah Winfrey

Right from the month of September, when the grand scale Ganesh Chaturthi comes about in India, the time for festivities begins. In October, the legendary Bengali festival of Durga Puja happens, followed by Dussera, Diwali, Christmas and then ultimately the New Year’s Eve dawns in... The celebration of the end of a year usually continues until past midnight and the date rolls onto 1st January again, with a plus one different predicate!

Where could you go and enjoy yourself? Which place would make your experience good enough to remember and look forward to a next time? Where will you take your special one for a beautiful dinner? Where would your family and you go? Which restaurant is perfect for your friends and you?
BookyourTable is where you should look!

Serving up peppy dishes from the flavours of North India, Italy, Lebanon and Mexico, the Bombay Blue restaurant would be a wonderful place to go to. However, a big minus point would be the fact that they do not serve booze. It’s either your own call first and then the restaurant or first the restaurant and then your call, but no way, during! Well, if you can exempt alcohol while dinner, it is a guarantee that you’ll be blown at Bombay Blue. The ambiance is bright and vibrant, not quite an echo to its name... But, what’s the heck? The food is great and the restaurant is clean! Located at a convenient spot, you should find your footsteps here!

Oh! Calcutta is a pleasant place to visit on a New Year’s Eve. It is perfect for Bengalis but it is also quite agreeable for all others without a frown! Well-known for their authentic Bengali cuisine and fresh Sea Food, this restaurant is spread across quite a few cities now. The interiors are modern and very sophisticated. Since Bengali-s and Mumbaikars are quite fond of sea food, Oh! Calcutta must stand out on your list of options! The bar beholds almost all well-known brands to wet your throat and the menus suggest awesome recipes to go with them. Usually instrumental Rabindrasangeet plays in the background, complimenting a conventional colour combination of off-white and mahogany. You’ll surely love it in there... It is a perfect place to visit on the New Year’s Eve with family and friends if you belong to the 35-up age group... For the younger crowd, visit some other time...!!

The two restaurants of Pratap’s Wild Dining at Link Plaza and Om Heera Panna Mall, Oshiwara, Andheri (W) are quite thrilling to be in! The Link Plaza branch has only North Indian cuisine. So, kebabs and booze are plainly too good a combination! The Om Heera Panna Mall branch serves up North Indian, Continental, Mexican and Chinese. Thus, here it’ll be fries and barbeques with the booze! But in both the places, the food is simply divine.

As soon as you enter, you’ll be in Pratap’s rainforest with monkeys and gorillas and leopards among other animals. And there are no waiters but your own forest rangers to serve you your order! It’s an experience worth its while!
The Om Heera Panna Mall is quite deserted and sidelined and the restaurant is located inside it. At first you might wonder where are you heading, but once you are in, you’ll not regret it but leave with a promise to return!

Happy New Year!!

Cheers!!
